A message from Dr. Yana Poulos, ND

It’s Fall, baby!

The changing leaves, the sweaters, the cider and doughnuts! I love it all. This is the perfect time to hunker down and boost up that immune system before cold and flu season really gets going. We can address individual immune issues and also put together an immune support kit full of natural and evidence-based remedies to have on hand when illness strikes.

I also recently introduced speciality testing to the clinic and it is a GAME-CHANGER for addressing chronic issues. Two tests that I want to highlight for Fall are the GI Map and Omx urine tests. The GI-MAP reveals the key players of the microbiome (the good, the bad, and the ugly!) and markers of intestinal health. If you experience constipation, diarrhea, bloating, acne or hives, immune issues, or fatigue this test is for you. The accuracy and reliability of this test allows practitioners to create personalized treatment protocols to address gut dysfunction based on which infections are urgent, which areas of the gut are already optimized, and which areas should be addressed after an infection is resolved.

The Omx urine test assesses damage to your metabolism. Do you have issues with weight gain or fatigue? The way your body creates energy might be compromised. This test will show you down to the enzyme-level where the issue lies and also how to fix it. Guess what, the fixes are easy and affordable and are specifically tailored to your results. This is the future of medicine and I’m so proud that I can offer it to my patients.

I’m offering a special on those two tests: GI Map and Omx urine. Schedule your 15-min Complementary Consultation and see if they are right for you.

Ps: I heard my patients loud and clear-keep telemedicine! All clinic visits are through video or phone call.

I hope you have a wonderful Fall season,

– Dr. Poulos

Yana has a great wealth of knowledge and is phenomenal at listening to the concerns of her patients. Yana ended up being integral to diagnosing my child with a serious rare disease- Kawasaki Disease. This disease is time sensitive and needs to be treated within 10 days of symptoms or there can be serious effects on the heartAfter being brushed off by multiple urgent care doctors, Yana took my concerns seriously. She knew that a mother's intuition is powerful and took the time to entertain that there could be something more serious than just a rash with my child.Yana took my concerns seriously and asked me questions on symptoms and to see photos. After an in depth back and forth she mentions that Kawasaki comes to mind but it’s rare. I ask Yana if it was Kawasaki would this be a need to leave immediately for the ER or wait. She says immediate ER referral. Once in the ER we were admitted to the hospital and my child was diagnosed with Kawasaki disease and treated in time with IVIG.Yana knew before the other Drs did. If I hadn’t been in communication with her we wouldn’t have taken her in when we did. As mentioned above the timing on treating Kawasaki is crucial.Another thing worth mentioning, I think this right here also explains the need for both natural medicine and conventional medicine and how they can work so beautifully hand in hand. Women and mothers especially have a mama gut and intuition. This has to be given more attention in the medical sphere and that is why natural care is so important. Yana’s website say “We believe that you are an expert in your body and you know when something is wrong. We promise to listen without judgement” And that was exactly true. Without judgment she listened to my concerns my gut that something was off. And because of that we went to the ER and my child was treated in time.

Dr. Poulos has been a true GIFT to my life!!!I originally started seeing her due to a new PCOS diagnosis, but our work together has already brought so much more benefit to my life outside of supporting my hormones. In a short time I have seen improvements in: managing brain fog, decreasing daily anxiety, and improving quality of sleep.Dr. Poulos always makes me feel seen and heard. She never makes you feel like your symptoms or experiences are YOUR FAULT like you may experience in a traditional medical setting but instead takes the time to work with you in getting to the root issue. If I ever have an issue or concern she gets back to me immediately and is so helpful. I have emailed her multiple times with a question or concern out of the blue and each time have received a call from her in the same day.She ALWAYS takes the time to make sure I feel supported and cared for, this is something that is just so rare in the medical world and it makes me so incredibly happy that I chose to explore this route of working with a Naturopathic doctor.I have also worked with other Naturopaths in the area and while those experiences were positive, the amount of time and support that Dr. Poulos provides is UNMATCHED.

Dr. Yana is so amazing! She is very thorough and takes her time to understand what your health needs are and assess them. It’s so hard for me to know exactly what supplements to take on my own, for the healthiest me, and Dr. Yana is educated and so well versed in the best and most effective supplements for health! She looks at the WHOLE person, unlike other docs who just want to rid the symptom but not get to the underlying issue. She truly cares about your well being and is passionate about what she does! Her recommendations have made me feel so much better and have made my numbers right where they should be! I’m sleeping better too (which I didn’t even know was an issue of mine until it happened)! Thank you Dr. Yana for helping me be the best me!!!
